Interactive Service Announcement

We have made some changes to our interactive service's. If you have not attended our interactive service now would be a great time to drop in and see what it is all about.

Temple Baptist Church

is a Traditional Baptisttm Church. We are a King James only, Soul Winning church with a traditional song service. We do not force our members to live under the burden of the law, but ask them to walk in Faith. Everyone is encourage to develop a close walk with God and use their spiritual gifts to benifit the church and the community.

Our Mission:

To encourage Christians to develop a closer walk with God. To study the scriptures laying aside preconceived notions, earnestly searching for the truth. To exhort one another to live the life that Christ has called us to. To proclaim to the world the wonderful saving knowledge Of Jesus Christ.

At Temple Baptist Church we believe that a close walk with the Lord does not come from rituals, obedience to Old Testament laws, or scheduled religious activity like; prayer time, bible reading, and church attendance. A close walk with the Lord comes from our hearts desiring to bring pleasure to God before seeking our own. A close walk with God does not come from the actions we do but from the earnest desire of our heart to put God first in everything.

Thought of the Month: Liberty is defined as freedom from restraint. 11 times the New Testament mentions the liberty of the children of God. Galatians 2:4 talks about false brethren who want to spy out our liberty and bring us into bondage. There are many things in our life that we willingly allow to restrain us. We are so quick to sell off the liberty that God has given us for the false sense of security provided by imposed restraint. God has called us to a life of liberty free from restraint to serve him. What worldly restraints have we accepted into our lives that prevent or impede our ability to serve God?

“let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” Hebrews 12:1b

Yearly Bible Reading Schedual

What is the difference between going to a church and listening to a sermon on the radio, or watching one on TV?

A church is more then just a place to hear a Sunday morning sermon, or a place to meet new people. The old phrase “actions speak louder then words” apply to so many parts of life. Telling God that he is important to you is a good thing, showing God that he is important is better. Attending a church service is just one small part in worshiping God. First it is a statement to God that he is important enough to you that you are willing to go someplace to worship him. Yes it can be a struggle to get the kids up and ready on Sunday Morning, people who work the night shift would rather go to sleep. There is a long list of reasons why it can be difficult to attend morning services, yet when we overcome these obstacles we are showing God how important he is to us. 1 Peter 3:8 "Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:"
1 Peter 1:22 "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:"
Loving the brethren or fellow believers is another way of worshiping God. Attending a church, and getting involved by; encouraging, strengthening, and helping each other is showing God that you Love him. Christ created us and loves us deeply, when we get involved in caring for and loving his creation we are pleasing to God. Attending a church gives us the opportunity to interact with other believers. When you feel down and are struggling with your trials, it allows others the opportunity to reach out and encourage. When a family member is ill or in the hospital you have a church family that can reach out, help, and pray. Acts 4:34 gives us the example of how church members are to provide and care for each other.
When you get involved in a church the pastor get’s an opportunity to know you personally, and learns what you and your family need. The Pastor knows what trials, and struggles you are going through. This allows the pastor to deliver sermons, and lessons that apply to you and your needs. While you can download sermons on the internet, attending a church provides you with an opportunity to minister to other and to be ministered to.

There are reasons why it is not possible to attend services. That is why Temple Baptist is using modern technology to enable people to participate in services even when they are not able to be there physically. We have a conference line set up so people can call in, and fellowship with members, participate in the song service, and hear the message.

Introducing our new

Interactive Services

Temple Baptist church is not just broadcasting our services live every week from 10:00 to 12:00 on sunday morning. We are offering a real-time interactive church service. What this means is that you can ask for prayer requests, answer questions, request songs during open hymn time and participate in the service.

These ministries are not to replace the church, but to allow the church to reach out to those who can not attend whether you are at home, on vacation, or away on business. This is different from watching a service on TV as you are able to be a part of the service
