todays sermon

Postby JBPrather on Sun May 10, 2009 11:03 am

Hello - in the sermon today we were talking about fair and balanced, and being judged wrongly.
In my situation, i am and have had my wife of 19 1/2 years leave and disappear to Oaklahoma,
she re-instated my deceased fathers credit cards and had maxed them out to 40,000 dollars.
I have had my home burn down, and I haven't got one person to help me, or look into the goings on in my wifes secret life she obiviously led. To take someone to court isn't the thing I want neither, but she may have ran to her sisters in Tulsa. They are seventh day adventists, and her sisters husband is a minister there. How can he rightously uphold this/her? She ran so as not to face her dasterdly deeds. I wish I had someone from a church who would go to the womans house and talk with her, and the things that are done. I feel lonely and out of touch with this situation. No closeure.

Your situation as I understand it is certainly a tough one.

Re-instating your father’s credit cards sounds to me like Identity Theft and Credit Fraud. Both of which are crimes that should be investigated by the authorities. I understand your reluctance to take her to court, especially if the wrong only affected you. However this also affects other people (the credit card companies, the people who sell to her, etc..) who are not part of the body of Christ, so I believe this type of thing should be reported. Calling the fraud department for the credit cards would be a good place to start, and let them go about protecting themselves.

I do not know what a conversation with her or her pastor would gain at this particular point. However I would be willing to see what I can do for you. If you wish you can e-mail me your phone number, and I would call you back so we can discuss this in greater detail.
